In close collaboration with BBC, we helped develop and produce the global launch campaigns for the new Volvo P33XX engine platform from Volvo Trucks.
Working within the campaign platform ‘Built with purpose’, two distinct phases were created: an awareness campaign introducing the new engine platform and an attract campaign designed to deepen interest through craft and product fascination.

THE ENGINESCAPES
For the awareness phase, we helped to develop a cinematic launch concept built entirely in CGI.
The centrepiece was a full CGI launch film, supported by four high-fidelity campaign visuals. Through detailed 3D modelling and AI-enhanced workflows, the engine became the stage for an unexpected world: engine-scapes.
A Volvo truck drives across surfaces that initially feel geological, but on closer inspection reveal the microscopic structure of metal parts.
BBC's idea of blending vast landscapes with extreme close-ups of the engine was intentional. It mirrors the emotional experience of driving a truck, feeling connected both to the environment you are moving through and to the power of the engine that drives it.

The engine itself became the hero, photographed with a sculptural approach. It is illuminated exclusively by the distinctive V-shaped headlights of the next generation Volvo trucks powered by the 13-liter diesel and gas-powered engines, creating a dramatic and unmistakable lighting signature.
To achieve this in real life, the team collaborated with Sugarhouse to shoot the engine in the Volvo studio in Gothenburg. Using only the truck headlights and carefully positioned reflection panels, we recreated the visual concept physically.

Working closely with the BBC creative team, we combined art direction, CGI production, motion design and real-world photography to deliver a cohesive launch narrative for a highly demanding international brand.
